Perth Stadium known as Optus Stadium was officially opened in early 2018. The Perth Scorchers relocated from the WACA to Optus Stadium. The West Coast Eagles and Fremantle Dockers relocated from Subiaco Oval to Optus Stadium. Optus Stadium is currently the third largest stadium in Australia. The first Test match was played between Australia and India in December 2018. The first ODI was played between Australia and England in January 2018. Optus Stadium unexpectedly hosted the 2021 AFL Grand Final between Melbourne and the Western Bulldogs due to the Covid lockdown in Victoria. The Stadium has held a State of Origin match and a Bledisloe Cup match plus a number of concerts.
